CHRYZESTOM Ntambi and Tony Ndolo scored a goal each to give Villa a morale boosting Super League win at Namboole yesterday.

Ntambi struck from a free kick while Ndolo stretched the margin by nodding a Simeon Masaba corner in a match that had a delayed kick-off because of lack of security.

At Nakivubo, Nalubaale and Masaka settled for a goal-less draw.

Limping Boroboro earned crucial points by edging Firemasters after goals by Daniel Obua and Godi Ayo.

Sadi Muhumuza consoled the losers through an 80th minute penalty.

In Masindi, Jimmy Nyakana scored from a last minute penalty to salvage a point for the hosts in a six goal thriller that had Iganga’s Hamid Matovu notching a brace.

Fred Luminsa scored the visitors’ other goal while Kinyara’s first scores were from Aloysius Lubega and Hesborn Mundia

At the same time, A refereeing crisis looms over the Uganda Super League.

The league committee secretary Moses Magogo revealed yesterday that FUFA owes referees sh90m in unpaid allowances.

Magogo explained at the weekly FUFA press conference that the money had accumulated over the last three months. He attributed the situation to poor match attendance.

The federation had set a sh0.2m levy per match to cater for the referees.
