EIGHTY three children aged 6 to 18 are taking part in a one- month clinic at the Uganda Golf Club.

“The main objective is to get the kids playing golf early, but we would like to see more girls taking part,” Uganda Ladies Golf Union member Grace Obua said.

The clinic, held by the union for the third year running, ends on January 29, having started before Christmas.
The clinic has produced talented golfers including Luke Kisembo, Issac Kisembo, Morris Ntege, and Desmond Kareba.

Elsewhere, Uganda Golf Union (UGU) will soon embark on a sh50m fundraising drive to renovate Mbale golf course that has been out of use for over ten years.
