BUSHENYI - A 45-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly poisoning her husband. The district Police commander, Jimmy Oyuku, said Meldah Tuhumwire poisoned the food she had prepared for Richard Bapaaza, 62. Bapaaza became unconscious and was rushed to Ishaka Adventist Hospital where he died the next day.
Lightning kills woman
KABALE - Lightning has killed a woman who was cultivating her garden in Buhara sub-county. The area LC3 chairperson,Joseph Baryamujura, identified the deceased as Rose Kakyakara. He said when the rain started, the woman and others sheltered under a plastic sheet where the lightning struck her. Baryamujura added that this is not the first time such an incident has occured in the area.
