ANDREW Ddembe went against his father’s wishes and read as much as he could to score aggregate 4 in last year’s PLE.

Ddembe said his father thought over-reading at a tender age would affect his sight in future.

“My Dad advised me to read for few hours but I thought it was not enough.”

Ddembe, a former pupil of Kitante Primary School, wants to become an architect.

“After scoring aggregate 4 in mocks, I became a consultant in my class,” he said.

Ddembe wants to join St Mary’s College Kasubi for his Ordinary level and excel like his brother Martin Balaba

He attributes his success to his father, Joseph Ssenyonga, who is a Human Resource Manager at Element of Nature.

Ssenyonga said Ddembe is an obedient child, who is committed to his studies.

“He has been reading heard and I was getting worried that he was over doing it. But heard work has paid off” Ssenyonga said.
