GILBERT Tamale Mirundi, who emerged as one of the best students in last year’s O’level exams in Mukono district, predicted that he would get aggregate 11.

He attributes his success to hard work, determination and support from the teachers at St. Joseph’s Naggalama in Mukono district.

“It is a culmination of hard work, a journey that I started when I enrolled for secondary education,” Tamale said.

He added that prayers and support from his parents also helped him succeed.

Tamale, who scored eight distinctions, wants to study physics, chemistry and biology at St. Mary’s College, Kisubi.

He wants to become a doctor, not a politician like his father, Tamale Mirundi, the presidential press secretary.

His mother, Jane Nassimbwa Tamale, described him as humble and hardworking.
