KCC FC return to action today in a tricky encounter that the Lugogo side must win to keep Uganda Super League leaders Express, Bunamwaya and URA in sight. The 2008 champions are seven points behind front runners Express.

KCC’s last outing exposed the yellows at their Nakivubo home ground with a 2-1 defeat by army side Simba.

KCC have lately had to contend with a team whose lead players left for greener pastures. Moses Oloya and Asuman Buyinza are in the far east.

That’s exactly why coach Sam Ssimbwa will be praying that his strikers Bruno Olobo and Martin Muwanga are on form.

Striker Tommy Okello who was worth a goal per match at the start of the season has inexplicably lately faded out.

In Masaka, KCC faces a side that has proved a thorn to many defence lines. Much as some sources said financial troubles are rocking Masaka region’s only super league side, other team members dismissed the allegations.

Veteran striker Yusuf Kinene and 2009 Inter Regions top scorer Silver Ocaya are the men KCC will be wary of.

Kinene, though not regular on the club’s score sheet, has proved a priceless asset when it comes to organising fellow strikers.

League action continues tomorrow with Fire Masters hosting Police at Kavumba ground in Wakiso.
