THERE is an air of anxiety and a lot of training as members of Kampala Club get ready for the MTN Chairman’s Cup that starts this weekend.

Members of Kampala Club will battle in ten sports and games disciplines when the one week tournament gets underway on February 28.

The annual gala sponsored by telecommunication company MTN and hosted by the club’s outgoing chairman, is an opportunity for the members to expose their skills and interact under one roof.

Participants will seek honours in tennis, swimming, darts, scrabble, mweso, chess, badminton, squash, pool and table tennis.

This year, Edith Wamalwa, Kate Kabenge and Barbara Jjagwe are some of the women to look out for, while Martin Fowler, Deo Kato, Stephen Musisi, Coutts Muhenda and Frank Aliho will be the men to beat in several fields.
