Pilsner Spin Master II search excited the quiet neighbourhood of Red Corner in Mbarara last Saturday after the famed Spin Master judges platinum DJs — DJ Jimmy and DJ Tony qualified for the quarter finals.

Seven competitors attended the quarter finals vying for a chance to leap to the second round. They were given a chance to display their spinning antics and demonstrate stage appeal.

DJ Bob, a youthful and vibrant DJ from Mbarara, surprised the judges with his style. He beat the stiff competition to emerge winner. DJ Ronnie and DJ Eddie took the second and third position respectively. According to the judges, DJ Bob had crowd confidence, was conversant with spinning and was the only contestant who tried to scratch the discs, unlike the others who just mixed music.

“I am so excited to win this round; all my hard work and long nights of practising have finally paid off. I intend to take the Pilsner Spin Master title,” DJ Bob said. The three winners from Mbarara will compete in the regional finals and the winner will represent the western region at the grand finale. The next quarter finals for the central region will be held at Nkumba University this Saturday.
