THE Kyambogo Warriors have signed Henry and Eric Malinga and Pascal Alule. The Malingas, who transferred from the mountain Dew Falcons and Aule, from KIU, signed a two-year contract yesterday but the financial details were not disclosed.
Kyambogo president Ambrose Tashobya said it was the club’s policy to withhold the financial details of their new signings because “our league is still amateur and we don’t want to put money at the forefrontâ€.
The press was eager to know what it cost the reigning national men’s champions to complete these transfers because the Malingas have been elite players for the past decade and they wouldn’t move cheaply.
Eric (29) and particularly Henry (30) are largely responsible for making the Falcons the most successful club in local basketball with six championships.
