IGANGA - A man who allegedly murdered his wife after a domestic misunderstanding is being pursued by the Police. Peter Magala, a resident of Kikunyu village in Buyanga sub-county, reportedly beat his wife, Restetuta Namususwa, to death before he disappeared recently. South Busoga regional Police commander Christopher Kubai disclosed that the suspect had earlier separated with the deceased.

Police recover abandoned gun

IGANGA - The Police have recovered a gun and 17 rounds of ammunition. The south-eastern regional Police commander, Christopher Kubai, said the gun was abandoned near a Police checkpoint. He said on Tuesday a person riding a motorcycle sighted the Police and probably due to fear of being caught, he abandoned it along the road.
