KAMPALA - The National Forestry Authority (NFA) has held special prayers to cleanse their offices after fetishes were discovered at the premises.

The executive director, Hudson Andrua, said since the incident, people were living in fear. The prayers follow an incident when fetishes were discovered in a manager’s office at NFA headquarters in Bugolobi, Kampala. Juju, as is locally known, was piled in a plastic bag in the ceiling of Ernest Kaddu’s office.

The prayers, which were held on Thursday, involved a sermon, intercession and consecration of all directors’ offices using holy water.

Andrua stressed that NFA had been experiencing financial constraints because many donors pulled out due to mismanagement by some former staff members. Pastor Amos Bazaale from Life Ministry Uganda carried out the cleansing service.
