When identifying an outfit, choose a colour that blends with your skin and personality. Since every woman has a colour that enhances her look, choose your favourite colour or a shade that makes you feel good. Agnes Kyotalengerire,/b> gives tips on how to look your best when you step out.

Church service
If you intend to go to church, formal wear in plain pastel colours is ideal. You can wear a suit or team your outfit with a pastel-coloured bonnet (hat tied with strings under the chin); with a satin ribbon tied in a bow.

Alternatively, you can substitute the ribbon with flowers that rhyme the colour of your outfit. Desist from wearing open shoes with a suit as this ruins the outfit. A suit should be worn with closed shoes, or peep toes.

You can also wear a floral dress to church. Besides being the in-thing, a floral dress gives you a girly look.
You can team your dress with a pair of pastel coloured slip-in shoe or sandals Garment shops in town are awash with floral dresses in different colours and designs. One goes for about sh30,000. You can opt for a knee-length simple dress in pastel colours.

Traditional wear
If you have to wear a gomesi or omwenda to church, choose a light soft fabric in plain pastel colours or one with a floral pattern. The sash for the gomesi and the skirt of the omwenda should be plain and reflect one of the colours in outfit. Floral silk fabrics for traditional wear cost about sh80,000 in Kampala shops.

Accessories
When not properly coordinated, accessories can ruin an outfit. Pearls in a single strand blend perfectly with traditional wear like omwenda and a suit.

African jewellery in big beads works better when worn on a gomesi. Gold or silver jewellery also matches well with a suit or dress. Pearls and African beads cost about sh20,000 a set, including earrings. A set of gold jewellery costs about sh80,000 while silver costs sh50,000 in jewellery shops in Kampala.

A handbag
A plain handbag matches well with a suit, omwenda or a gomesi. But a classy purse works better on omwenda and gomesi.

A purse also goes well with evening wear. You can also wear a shoulder bag. The price of a handbag is about sh25,000 in shops on Nabugabo Road, Kampala and with just sh20,000, you can buy a classy purse.

Daytime dress
A simple sundress in cotton or linen fabric, especially if you are staying home or attending a party is ideal. A sundress with spaghetti straps accentuates a woman’s look. Match it with jewellery of your choice and sandals in pastel colours.
If you decide to go for dinner, you have no option but to wear an evening dress. Avoid dull colours, especially black.

Movie night
Jeans worn with a top in pastel colours and sandals is ideal for a movie night.

Beach
The beach is about unwinding; swimming, playing in the sand and sunbathing. If you plan to spend your Easter weekend at the beach, wear a casual dress, shorts and casual pants, with a simple top and sandals.

It is important that you choose something comfortable and one that will not easily get dirty. A hat or cap will enhance your look and protect you from the scotching sun. Hand bags should not be held to the beach.

Opt for a simple sports bag in which you can keep your swimming costume and other items, if you must carry a bag.
