THE 1999 African champion Charles Muhangi is back for the KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally after a two-year sabbatical. Muhangi has purchased a new Subaru Impreza N12 that arrived at the Mombasa Port early this week.

THE 1999 African champion Charles Muhangi is back for the KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally after a two-year sabbatical. Muhangi has purchased a new Subaru Impreza N12 that arrived at the Mombasa Port early this week.
The car is expected in Kampala ahead of the Pearl rally slated for April 30-May 3.
Muhangi, who will race with veteran navigator Frank Nekusa, registered for the rally that has so far attracted three international drivers and nine local crews.
“The young generation of drivers should note that we are very mature and never look for number two. I have come back to win,†Muhangi remarked.
Muhangi said he will devise a winning plan after route reccing in Luwero next week.
