DEFENDING Champions Jinja SS started the girls’ cricket week by whitewashing Ndejje SS with a maximum 10 wickets win yesterday, Norman Katende reports.

Ndejje failed the bowling of Goretti Koma (3 for 1) and Prossy Tiko (2 for 10) as they were all bowled out for 20 runs. Jinja’s Winnie Yunduru and Joyce Achiro were unbeaten at 4 runs each, as they went past the target for no wicket loss.

Gayaza High School beat neighbours Our Lady of Good Counsel by 65 runs, while King’s College Budo were shocked by Soroti SS who beat them by 6 wickets.

Rebecca Mukashema (28) had lifted Budo but Naomi Acheng’s 14 runs saw Soroti overhaul the 76-run target.
