EDITOR—I have a son at St Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende. At the beginning of the term all parents were forced to contribute sh50,000 for the celebrations of the 10-year Jubilee for the school. The school opened on Sunday and no student was allowed in without paying this money!

EDITOR—I have a son at St Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende. At the beginning of the term all parents were forced to contribute sh50,000 for the celebrations of the 10-year Jubilee for the school. The school opened on Sunday and no student was allowed in without paying this money!

Why should we be forced to pay money for school celebrations when Kitende is a profit-making organisation? This was a rip-off and parents badly need protection.
