UGANDA’S Draughts player Frank Zziwa registered mixed results at the 13th international Salou Open Draughts in Barcelona.
The Africa number two player started his campaign at the international meet with a loss against Jan Hendrik Kok from Holland on Sunday and recovered with a victory over Spaniard Feike Castein on Monday.
The Ugandan ace is using the tournament to improve his world ranking. The tournament that got underway at the Hotel Cala Font on May 23 has attracted ten Grand Masters.
Africa is represented by three participants two from Mali and one from Uganda. Zziwa is ranked 134 in the world by the World Draughts Association.
