Africa’s number three draught player Frank Zziwa maintained his composure to claim a second win at the 13th International Salou Draughts Open in Barcelona, Spain. Zziwa registered a draw over Dutchman Fred Roedolph and a win over Harry Grasskamp, also from Holland in rounds three and four at the event moving up to 37 position out of the 129 participants.

Coca Cola aids Source of Nile
Coca-Cola boosted the Source of the Nile Marathon yesterday with a donation of 1000 cartoons of Dasani Mineral Water. The donation worth sh6m was handed over to Hared general manager Nourdin Yusuf by Coca-Cola trade marketing manager Albert Nga Natumanya yesterday. The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding in sponsorship of the annual event.
“This is going to make a big difference towards the betterment of this year’s race,” remarked Yusuf, who is also part of the event organising committee.

Cyclist hit
The national cycling team travelling to Rwanda for the Kwita Izina Race had a setback when rider Bright Muwonge was knocked by a speeding vehicle. Muwonge of Shimano Club was knocked by a tipper truck ferrying sand in Kololo yesterday and rushed to Mulago Hospital. Cycling Aboss Sam Muwonge said the team shall still travel.
