BRIDE & Groom, a leading social magazine produced by Vision Group, is to hold its second exhibition. The expo is intended to help couples who are planning to wed to organise the ceremonies.

Addressing journalists at Hotel Africana in Kampala on Monday, the advertising manager, Godfrey Mulengi, said couples will have access to companies dealing in wedding products.

The three-day extravaganza, set for July 23-25 in the hotel’s Nile Hall, will include confectioners, jewellers, gown specialists, groom boutiques, interior decoration and honeymoon packages.

Leading and up-coming designers will stage seven fashion shows.

Exhibitors will also have a chance to win prizes and get special discounts if they make orders during the expo.

Vision Group is partnering with Stanbic Bank, V&A and Select Garments, among others. Keturah Kamugasa, the magazine’s editor, said the exhibition will have discussions on topics like sex, intimacy, family planning methods and myths.

She said the magazine, which had a maiden issue in 2004, now also sells in Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya.

The event manager, Joanne Eriaku, said used bridal attire and accessories will also be on sale.
