PICTURE this; you’re getting ready to step out and it starts to rain. You do not want to change your outfit yet you do not want to feel cold. What’s a girl to do? Invest in a sweater.

And don’t just pull any old sagging sweater over your head in the name of warmth. Go for a fitting one that blends well with your outfit yet at the same time keeps you warm.

Look out for sweaters that have buttons at the front because they not only complement your femininity, they are also easy to remove when the weather changes.

Semi-fitting pullover sweaters are best for extremely cold weather and can be worn as a blouse. If you work in an organisation where the dresscode is formal, then get yourself a sleeveless sweater. These are often worn over shirts and look best when teamed with trousers or a skirt.

Half-sweaters also look chic as they flatter the body, beautify your outfit yet keep you warm. These are often long sleeved or half sleeved and tie a knot at the front below the bosom.

You can also wear a sweater just to spice up your outfit and if this is the case, it should be of light material so as not to get uncomfortable if it gets hot.
