RECYCLED oil on the market is killing the lubrication industry.
Fred Kalega Kyeyune, the retail manager OiLibya, says the oil has affected so many people because it is cheaply sold.

OiLibya has a mission to energise people by providing reliable energy solutions.

It is the local subsidiary of Tamoil Africa Holdings Limited (TAHL), fully owned by the Libyan government through the Libyan-African Investment Portfolio (LAP), a government agency set to spearhead investment plans in Africa.

TAHL made its debut in the petroleum distribution and marketing business in Kenya in December 2006.

The company signed an agreement with ExxonMobil Corporation which gave rise to Libya Oil Kenya.

The company also acquired the Mobil Oil Kenya business and assets across the country including the lubricant blending plant at Mombasa.

“We have also acquired 21 other ExxonMobil and Shell affiliates across Africa,” says Kyeyune.

Kyeyune says OiLibya range of lubricants provide customers with the opportunity to protect equipment using a unique blend of high performance oils and advanced additives systems.

“The products we offer are suitable for use in a wide variety of industries including commercial transport, passenger transport, construction, quarrying, cement and manufacturing,” he says.

Kyeyune says among the quality products they offer is the OiLibya Accel brands that are a range of premium quality engine oils with a unique formulation to guarantee outstanding performance in a wide range of applications and conditions.

“Accel plus 40 is a monograde suitable for high temperatures, Accel Super is suitable for both low and high temperatures and can be used in both petrol and diesel cars,” he adds.

Kyeyune says Accel Utra 20w-50 is a premium multigrade that can operate in passenger, light vehicles and vans. He adds that for diesel vehicles, OiLibya DeoMax has extra high performance that provides superior lubrication for modern and older diesel engines.

He says this product addresses the challenges of all diesel engines from a single truck to a fleet, from highway mileage to high altitude mining.

“The deoMax HD 40 is a monograde good in high temperatures, deoMax HP is a multigrade which is good in low and high temperatures and deoMax SHP is a premium multigrade which is the best in all applications,” Kyeyune stresses.

He says all the brands can be used in light and heavy duty vehicles and in agriculture and construction machines.
