Mbarara municipality has started upgrading the road which connects the town to Ntare School. Presidents Yoweri Museveni and Rwanda’s Paul Kagame are Old Boys of the school.

Mbarara town clerk David Kigonya said they would construct 1km of the road at a cost of sh460m, to be completed in a month’s time. He explained that they would tarmac another 1km next year, which would end at Kiyanja, connecting to Mbarara-Ishaka highway.

The town clerk noted that the completed road would ease traffic flow. Kigonya added that two bodaboda cyclists were recently hit by graders because of failing to follow instructions laid out by the constructors.
