Buddo, Kitende battle in Buganda final

THE Wakiso district schools soccer rivalry between St. Mary’s Kitende and Buddo SS will be revived today as the two teams clash in the Buganda schools football cup final at Nakivubo stadium.

THE Wakiso district schools soccer rivalry between St. Mary’s Kitende and Buddo SS will be revived today as the two teams clash in the Buganda schools football cup final at Nakivubo stadium.
Buddo edged out Kitende 1-0 in the COPA Coca-Cola Cup quarterfinal in Masaka in May, a sweet revenge for Buddo who had lost to Kitende by a similar margin in the district qualifiers final. The game promises to be a nail-biting final.
Sadalah Dumba scored the lone goal against Kakungulu Memorial at on Tuesday, to put defending champions Kitende into the final.
On their part, Buddo SS edged Uganda Martyrs Lubaga 5-4 after a penalty shoot-out following a goalless draw after normal time.
The two-week Buganda schools sports gala that ends today will also see schools conclude the netball at the same ground.
