EDITOR—I agree with the recommendation of the secretary general of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry about ‘pay as you earn’ (PAYE) tax.
EDITOR—I agree with the recommendation of the secretary general of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry about ‘pay as you earn’ (PAYE) tax. This tax undermines empoyees’ productivity. Even food allowances are consolidated in salary and taxed when there is no discount on food in hotels!
