KAMPALA-Buganda Road Court last Tuesday set August 24 as the trial date for two Inter-Party Cooperation (IPC) women. The two were charged with holding unlawful society and assaulting Police officers. Prosecution said on June 14, Night Asara Eyoru and Ida Namukwaya allegedly assaulted Police officers as they left Buganda Road Court. They were charged on the same day and held at the Central Police Station.
Man gets 13yrs for defilement
MUKONO-The High Court has sentenced a 19-year-old man to 13 years in prison for defiling a five-year-old girl. Samuel Obella of Nankuba village in Nagojje sub-county committed the offence on June 9, 2007. Court heard that Obella defiled the victim while on her way home.
