Pool body is insensitive
EDITOR - Allow me to comment on the unfair treatment of women in the on-going Nile Special Pool Open. The women have been subjected to compete against men in the on-going Championship Final qualifiers. This is very unfair in as far as gender is concerned. No wonder no woman has qualified so far.

The Pool Association of Uganda should borrow a leaf from other associations like football who organise parallel events for men and women.
Much as we advocate for equality, people of both sexes cannot match in sporting activities.

I hope Dr. Bessalem will sort out the UABF mess
EDITOR - I was very happy with AIBA’s appointment of Dr. Abdellah Bessalem to arbitrate between local boxing’s two wrangling factions led by Dr. Ntege Ssengendo and Godfrey Nyakana.

Dr. Bessalem who is also the Africa Boxing Confederation president, is well positioned to deal with this problem. The development also means that the world boxing governing body, AIBA, recognises that both Nyakana and Dr. Ssengendo have a stake in Ugandan boxing.
