KCC FC continued their fine start to the 2010-11 super league season when they defeated new comers Maroons FC 2-0 at Nakivubo stadium yesterday.

Bruno Olobo put the Lugogo boys ahead in the 20th minute while new recruit Eric Obua sealed the points when he struck the winner with 11 minutes to go.

The win keeps KCC on top of the table after earlier wins over Bunamwaya and Victors last month.

In Luzira, Godfrey Wakaza struck a spectacular goal on 65 minutes as ten-man Simba SC triumph over Villa at the prisons grounds.

The 24 year old Wakaza, looking to regain the top scorers boots that he claimed in the 2007/ 2008 season scored from close range after villa custodian Frank Mulindwa Muwonge fumbled a Swaib Ssebalu Conner into Waklaza’s firing range.

The Simba striker, who was later rested vowed to surpass his 16 goal record that won him the top scorers title.

“I am glad we have won as a team and look forward to maintaining this form which will enable me come top in the scorers chart,” a jovial Wakaza remarked.

The Simba skipper scored only 8 goals last season having been away in Oman for a sizable part of the season.
