PROLIFIC Tanzanian golfer Angel Eaton clearly intends to add the Uganda Ladies Open to three other titles she holds. She was the first foreign player to arrive Monday and will have had four days of practice before action starts tomorrow.

Eaton, coming off victories in the Zambia, Mombasa and Tanzania ladies tournaments in the past three months, has already had a feel of the 18 holes at Uganda Golf Club.

Eaton, whose handicap has deteriorated from 4 to 6 because of the current dry conditions on the Gymkhana Course in Dar es Salaam, should find Ugandan conditions more favourable.

She will face off with local stars Jasper Kamukama, Eva Okatch and Flavia Namakula, among others.

“She has liked our course and is on form. I expect a formidable challenge from her,” defending champion Kamukama remarked yesterday.

The three-day 54 holes tournament is expected to attract competitors from Uganda, Kenya, Zambia and Tanzania.
