THE incumbent LC3 chairman for Budondo sub-county in Jinja district, Ivan Tibenkana (DP), and his Buyengo counterpart, James Hamba (FDC), were on Wednesday nominated in the ongoing exercise for LC3 chairpersons and their councillors.

THE incumbent LC3 chairman for Budondo sub-county in Jinja district, Ivan Tibenkana (DP), and his Buyengo counterpart, James Hamba (FDC), were on Wednesday nominated in the ongoing exercise for LC3 chairpersons and their councillors.
During the exercise at Kagoma county headquarters, Kato Kaziba (NRM) was nominated to vie for the Buwenge Rural LC3 seat
Christopher Mwandale, who lost to Kaziba in the NRM primaries, and Sunday Bazibu were nominated as independents for the same seat.
Others nominated included Imelda Nandudu as councillor for Buwagi parish in Budondo and Nubuat Kagoya for Butamiira parish in Buyengo sub-county.
In Jinja municipality, more candidates were nominated yesterday. They included Swalleh Kirunda Kiswiriri of UPC. Kiswiriri will contest for the Jinja Central LC3 seat, which he lost to Mubarak Kirunda of FDC in 2006.
Juma Kinyiri, who lost the UPC primaries to Kiswiriri for Jinja Central, was nominated as an independent candidate for the same seat.
Moses Kigenyi (FDC) was nominated for the Mpumudde-Kimaka division LC3 chair, Jennifer Nyaburu (FDC) for female councillor in Mpumudde, Fatuma Mutesi (DP) for Spire Road parish in Jinja Central division, while Ayub Nyende (UPC) will stand in Allidina parish in the Central division. Â
