SC Villa coach Sula Kato is rarely seen smiling.

Fred Kaweesi reports that if he does smile, there has got be a very good reason, like the one that left him in very high spirits yesterday. This, soon after learning that he would have the four would-have-been suspended stars available for today’s heated fixture against Bunamwaya.

“I was informed today (Monday) that I will have them available. I am relieved. It means I will have a strong side for the game,” Kato said with a smile.

It had originally been hoped that Villa would have had to play their next two league matches (including Bunamwaya) without Denis Guma, Alishe Asuman, Apollo Kakaire and Eriya Sekisambu following a suspension by the Uganda Super League disciplinary committee.

The four were banned for attacking match officials after their side settled for a 1-all draw with Victors in a recent game played at Kakindu stadium.

They (Villa) have until today to decide whether they will take the punishment or appeal. The Uganda Super League gave them a grace period of five days, which ends on Tuesday. Technically that means that the four players can play today.

Villa possess naturally young gifted footballers but for their prospects today, it will be vital that central defenders Guma and Alishe are in the right frame of mind to shackle last season’s top scorer Tony Odur.
