BOSSES of Jinja based big league side JMC Hippos FC have been advised to consider winning bonuses for their players if they are to qualify for the top flight next season.

Club coach Matthew Lucha said that players have not been turning up for training, something he attributed partly to low pay. It is reported that players receive only transport allowances of sh2,000 that is not enough for their up keep.

Lucha proposed bonuses of sh10,000 for a win and sh7,000 for the draw saying this will motivate the players.

JMC Hippos host Iganga Town Council FC in a mouth-watering Busoga derby Big League match today at Kakindu stadium before what is expected to be a capacity crowd.

The home side will miss veteran striker Fred Makokha following a red card in the team’s 3-1 away win over Entebbe Young last week.

Also in action will be Bul Bidco hosting Kase while Arsenal Njeru travels to entebbe Young.
