Can I qualify for a diploma in veterinary medicine when I have a second class diploma in education (agriculture)? Anonymous

The dean Makerere University faculty of veterinary medicine, Prof. David Kabasa, says students that get direct admission to veterinary medicine are those who studied animal production. He says a diploma in education is not in line with animal production. Therefore, he explains that your application would be treated as a special case; the content (course units) of your transcript would be specially examined to find out whether you studied basic sciences related to animals and can be admitted or not. However, you can apply using your A’ level certificate if you passed science subjects, such as, physics, biology and chemistry, which are normally required for veterinary medicine.
