Mbale Hospital gets equipment

THE German government and friends of Uganda in the United Kingdom have donated theatre and laboratory equipment worth sh154.4m to SALEM Brotherhood health centre in Nakaloke sub-county, Mbale district.

THE German government and friends of Uganda in the United Kingdom have donated theatre and laboratory equipment worth sh154.4m to SALEM Brotherhood health centre in Nakaloke sub-county, Mbale district.

The equipment included a cardiac monitor, Oxygen concentrator and an ultra-sound scanner. The theatre was built at a cost of sh60m and a laboratory at sh32m.

Micross Watala, the senior clinical officer manning the out-patients department, said the health centre covers the districts of Budaka, Bukedea, Kumi, Mbale, Sironko, Pallisa, Bulambuli and Soroti.
