PATRICK Ochan, 17, will be out to help his youngster dominated team of SC Villa gain momentum as they host Simba FC in their second Nile Special Super League encounter at Namboole.

The 6ft striker who has scored Villa’s lone goal in the Nile Special Super League encounter against Akol last week will be looked to for his good talent as a play maker and good finisher in Villa’s search for more points.

The 2002 champions are fighting to displace URA from the summit of the 15-league table.

“He is a truly young player who is willing to learn. A promising playmaker who does not panic with ball and is good at both aerial and ground balls,” is what the club coach Micho Sredojevich looks at in Ochan.

Despite most seniors who include Hakim skipper Magumba, Timothy Batabaire, Morley Byekwaso, Philip Obwiny and Godfrey Kateregga out due to various reasons, Robert Tumusiime will be present to steer the team against defeat.

He will hold the captaincy mantle and will be required to coordinate with Philip Ssozi to see that they guide the team to victory.

“There is currently no one sure of a starting place but I believe that the team will be strong,” said Sredojevich.

“Our team is dominated by youngsters but they are serious ones who look forward to playing as a team and are learning to play under pressure since they are expected to play and win. It is going to be a tough match.”

The fact that Sam Timbe is new coach for Simba complicates the puzzle for Sredojevich though.
While in Masaka, Timbe, forced Villa to a draw in the Kakungulu Cup but Villa scraped through after a penalty shootout and this was the same with Simba.

“Combining ideas and a team is what will make tomorrow’s match more entertaining.”

But Timbe believes that his defence will be the greatest problem.

“The striking line is okay but the defenders joined other teams. However, I will use an attacking system that will ensure a good performance,” said Timbe.
