Gordon Wavamuno, the chairman Spear Group of Companies has bought a multi-storied building on plot 19 High Street once owned by the former Banyankore Kweterana Co-operative Union Limited.

Gordon Wavamuno, the chairman Spear Group of Companies has bought a multi-storied building on plot 19 High Street once owned by the former Banyankore Kweterana Co-operative Union Limited.
The building was sold to Wavamuno by Bank of Uganda to recover a loan, which the now defunct Banyankore Kweterana owed the Co-operative Bank Limited now in liquidation.
Wavamuno visited the building on Thursday and talked tenants but declined to reveal the amount at which he bought the building.
He intends to renovate the building, including introduction of Internet cafes and an office for his television station.Ends
