A SUSPECTED rebel from the People’s Redemption Army (PRA) of renegade UPDF officers Col. Samson Mande and Lt. Col. Anthony Kyakabale, has been arrested.

A SUSPECTED rebel from the People’s Redemption Army (PRA) of renegade UPDF officers Col. Samson Mande and Lt. Col. Anthony Kyakabale, has been arrested.
Defence minister Amama Mbabazi (pictured right), told a press conference at the Uganda International Conference Centre on Wednesday that the man, whom he did not name, was captured during a recent spying mission in Kihihi, Kanungu district.
“A PRA rebel was recently arrested in Kihihi with a gun and a uniform. He is currently being held somewhere. He is being interrogated,†he said.
He said the PRA had acquired arms and uniforms and were preparing to engage in acts of terrorism against Uganda.
Mbabazi said the Government was commitment to dealing with insurgents.
