THE Uganda Peoples’ Congress (UPC) party headquarters has been partially paralysed following the refusal of sacked party administrative secretary Edward Ochwo to hand over the office, in which important party documents are kept.

An extraordinary meeting of the UPC Presidential Policy Commission (PPC) on Wednesday reportedly resolved to break into Ochwo’s office at Uganda House to evict him if he did not hand over within a few days.

Sources said the PPC agreed to buy new locks for Ochwo’s office if he did not peacefully hand over to PPC chairman Dr. James Rwanyarare.

The sources said PPC members had agreed not to reinstate Ochwo and to put new locks on his office door.

Ochwo, a former clerk of the National Assembly (Parliament) was sacked two weeks ago for allegedly leaking party secrets to State House.

It was also alleged that he constantly called former president Obote in Zambia, to give him false information.
