KABALE – Scotland has donated 19 typewriters and four computers to various schools and institutions in southwestern Uganda. The items worth over sh15m were channeled through Rotary International 2000 to boost the administration and performance of the institutions.
Woman raped
MBARARA – Unknown people on Tuesday night gang-raped a woman before stabbing her to death near Ntare School in Kamukuzi ward. The OC CID at the Police station, Jonathan Edoku, said on Wednesday the woman’s body was found by the roadside in the morning.
New campus
KABALE – The Uganda Martyr’s University, Nkozi is to open a campus at the Kabale Diocesan Hill of Rushoroza next academic year. The diocesan secretary of education, Fr. Aaron Nturanabo, said the campus will admit students from western Uganda.
