SIR— The Old Budonians Club wishes to congratulate the following people on their recent achievements:

1. Engineer Ivan Kyayonka, 1972-77, for becoming the first Ugandan country manager for Shell Oil Uganda.
2. Mr Jehoash S. Mayanja Nkangi, 1944-47, appointed chairman of the Uganda Land Commission.
3. Mr Owiny Dollo, 1974-79, appointed member of the Uganda Land Commission.
4. Prof Timothy Wangusa, 1962-63, appointed vice-chancellor Kumi University
5. Dr George Kamya, 1943-45, appointed chairman of the Health Service Commission.
6. Justice James Ogoola, 1961-66, for successfully heading the newly established Commercial Court
7. Mr Japheth Katto, 1971-72, on becoming the chairman of the chairmen of the respective East African stock exchanges
8. Mr George Semivule, 1962-71, on being elected chairman of the Makerere University Old Students Convocation.
9. Mr Sansa Mugenyi, 1969-73, on being elected member of the Makerere University Old Students Convocation.
10. Dr Ruth Nabukenya Sebuliba, 1979-80, on becoming the first woman to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture.
Mr Tom Buruku, 1959-64, appointed member of the Electoral Commission.
12. Dr Peter Mugyenyi, 1965-69, director Joint Clinical Research Centre, on being recognised by US President George W. Bush as one of the leaders in the battle against HIV/AIDS.
