THE Movement Secretariat will continue to expose corruption among members of Parliament, Beatrice Lagada, the deputy director of mass mobilisation at the Secretariat has said.
She was on Thursday opening a seminar for women leaders at Naminage Primary School in Kamuli district.
“We, as a secretariat will continue shouting and exposing individual MPs who are conducting themselves in an un-honourable manner. We are fully behind Ofwono Opondo’s efforts in exposing corruption among parliamentarians,” Lagada said.
She challenged MPs mentioned in the corruption allegations to defend themselves as individuals and not drag in Parliament as an institution, adding that the Government was committed to fighting corruption with no fear or favour.
“When it comes to corruption, there is no individual who is indispensable under the Movement Government,” she said.
“Those MPs named in cases of corruption should defend themselves as individuals.” Ends
