NATIONAL Football League Committee (NFLC) official concerned with Mbale Heroes elections on Sunday, Chris Kalibbala, has warned club fans to guard against irregular membership registrations ahead of the polls.

Kalibbala said that fans expected to converge at Mbale stadium to elect a new executive committee must register only with Mbale District Football Association (MDFA) chairman because he is the only one with powers to do so.

The Nile Special Super League (NSSL) side was thrown into chaos after their long serving chairman Stephen Wekomba resigned before this year’s league kicked off citing a very busy schedule.

NFLC later discovered that a list of officials sent to it bore a forged signature of Wekomba.

The committee suspended the club and the alleged forger Valentino Oleicho and ordered for elections of officials.
