THE headmaster of Town View Secondary School, a private school in Kapchorwa town council, recently appeared in court charged with two counts of defilement.
Christian Onyango, 25, a resident of Chepsikiroi in Barwa Ward, appeared before Magistrate Otto Gulamali and is the first headmaster to be charged with defilement in the district this year.
The prosecutor, George Opio, alleged that the accused committed the offences between November 2002 and January 2003 in Kapchorwa.
In the first offence, the accused allegedly defiled an S.3 student of Kapchorwa Senior Secondary School, while in the second charge he allegedly defiled an S.2 girl of Town View Secondary School, which he heads.
Gulamali, who spoke in a soft tone said the accused was not supposed to enter any plea. He will appear on March 12.
Onyango was remanded to Kapchorwa Local Government Prison. Ends
