Karimojong warriors on Wednesday attacked Namokora in Kitgum district, killed one person and rustled some cattle.
The district was also attacked by rebels of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), who abducted an unspecified number of people in Mia-Pacwa, in Paimol.
Kitgum resident District Commissioner Lt. Santo Okot Lapolo said the Karimojong abducted 15 civilians in Agago county.
He said he did not know the identity of the deceased.
He added, “The rebels abducted about 10 people and forced them to carry looted items including food.â€
Capt. Fred Mukorogo said the UPDF pursued the rebels and sent them out of Nomokora.
