Diamond Trust Bank Uganda Limited wants to to widen its customer base.
“We are opening up. We’re growing from the traditional base towards a wider customer base. Last year, the bank was concentrating on building a professional team in terms of internal capacity,†Rao Balivada, the bank’s new chief executive said during a Wednesday evening cocktail for selected clients.
Diamond Trust Bank has for the last eight years been dealing with specific customers like those involved with the Aga Khan Foundation.
Balivada said the bank has now gained capacity.
Together with an eight-person board of directors of the bank, led by the chairman, Robert Byrd, Balivada introduced them to about 100 corporate and professional customers of the bank.
Diamond Trust plans to introduce new banking items including the Prime Foreign Account.
