THE winners of The New Vision Bingo Promotion grand draw on Wednesday picked their prizes at company’s head office in Kampala.

The three winners said they would use the sh10m to pay school fees. The New Vision managing director and editor in chief, William Pike, who handed over the cheques, thanked the readers for participating in the eight-week long promotion. He advised them to use the money productively. He promised more promotions soon.

The New Vision circulation manager, Tom Wasswa and the sales promotion executive, Rhona Kanabahita witnessed the ceremony.

Mary Namubiru 16, with her cousin Robert Mugenyi, both orphans and school dropouts won sh5m. They filled their coupons in the name of Lillian Anshemeza their sponsor.

Anshemeza, Baker Kabogoza and Doris Gahonzire were on Friday announced winners of sh5m, sh3m and sh2m respectively.

Another 22 lucky readers won sh20m in the Instant Bingo Promotion over the eight weeks, bringing the total package for the readers to sh30m.

Mugenyi, 26, who dropped out of school in senior four due to lack of fees swore to resume studies. He said he would decide the next step thereafter.

An equally excited Namubiru, who dropped out of school in senior two , said she would also return to school.

Anshemeza said: “I could not afford fees for these people. But I encouraged them to take part in the promotion.”

Mugenyi said: “I expected to win something.”
