Roy (not real name), an Irishman working with an international NGO refused to go to work on Wednesday so as to mourn his dog. Ray resides in Kansanga in the outskirts of Kampala
Apparently, he received the bad news from the shamba boy as he was driving out of the gate with his wife and kids. He immediately ordered his shamba boy to dig a pit in the back yard.
He also prevented his children from going to school. His wife as well was not allowed to go to work.
The dog, a German shepherd called ‘Tiger’, was found dead early in the morning with a deep cut on its head. White cloth was bought to wrap the dog .
The family spent the whole day mourning Tiger and at 8:00pm in the evening, he was laid to rest in the presence of all the family members.
Roy said Tiger was a very intelligent dog, which will be missed by the family. He ordered the shamba boy to investigate the cause of the death and get back to him immediately. Ends
