LESS than a fortnight ago, they were working for the downfall of other teams. Today, Express tactician Jan Fray and KCC coach Abbey Nasur point guns at each other instead.
Fray resigned from KCC, who felt he was not delivering, and joined rivals Express, who are confident he can deliver glory.
He will be the main focus when he hosts his former team in a Nile Special Super League game that could well determine the ease with which SC Villa can retain the title.
“Their (KCC) strength lies in their strong midfield and that is what we have to break and get maximum points,” Fray said on Good Friday.
The Dane said he was confident goalkeeper Abdu Salim would keep his side out of any trouble. “He is the custodian we need at this time, confident, calm and with a quick reaction.”
But not all this can scare Nasur, whose greatest assignment is to bring KCC back into contention.
Even with a dilapidated defence lacking the services of Benjamin Jamahuri (ankle), Ronald Apangu (thigh) and striker Vincent Kayizi (malaria), Nasur is confident.
“We have prepared well and we will come back victorious.”
