IGANGA LC5 chairman Asuman Kyafu has said he will force sub-county chiefs who sued the district in a court suit costing sh41m to pay the money themselves.
He said the district is in a financial crisis, making it difficult to pay for the court suit filed against the local government.
He said time was needed to effect the payment, adding that the chiefs took the wrong path.
“It is bad manners on the other hand to sue your boss. These sub-county chiefs sued the district and ironically continue to work for it,” he said.
Kyafu was recently addressing the district council at the council chambers in Iganga town.
He urged councillors to sensitise the youths on the dangers of joining rebel groups. “We have received reports that some people are recruiting youths into rebel camps,” he said.IGANGA LC5 chairman Asuman Kyafu has said he will force sub-county chiefs who sued the district in a court suit costing sh41m to pay the money themselves.
