Rukiga Member of Parliament Jack Sabiiti has said although he is related to renegade Lt. Col. Anthony Kyakabale, he is not involved in any subversive activities, reports Darious Magara.
Kyakabale and Col. Samson Mande are top commanders of the People’s Redemption Army (PRA), a rebel group based in the DRC Congo.
Sabiiti was responding to a question from a caller on Voice of Kigezi FM on whether he was supporting PRA financially.
“I am related to Kyakabale and I can provide food like salt and sugar to his parents to support them but it does not mean that I collaborate with Kyakabale,†sabiiti said.
Kyakabale campaigned for Sabiiti against the then area MP Manzi Tumubwaine before fleeing to a self- imposed exile in Rwanda.
