RELIGIOUS organisations in the country are organising a peaceful demonstration against The Red Pepper, Kampala’s tabloid.

The Family Life Network director, Stephen Langa, said the demonstration will take place on Monday. He said it was time to take serious action against The Red Pepper.

“We feel enough is enough. We are disgusted, we are angry, we are disappointed that the Government has not done anything to stop the paper which is destroying so many of our young people in society,” he said.

“We have evidence of the damage that is being done to our society because of pornography,” Langa said.

The Uganda Joint Christian Council, the Evangelical Fellowship of Uganda and the National Fellowship of Born-again churches are among the organisers. Richard Tusiime is the Red Pepper editor.
