APAS bt Lango (w/o)

EVEN before the second round action kicks off, APAS has already qualified for the schools Coca Cola tournament quarterfinals. They benefited from a walkover after the technical committee, in their yesterday’s meeting disqualified Lango College.
Lango College was banned for three years after fielding Patrick Ongu, who had appeared for Comboni College in the preliminary. He is re-seating his senior four examinations making him ineligible.
But Kagadi won yesterday’s battle of the three, walloping Kyenjojo 4-0 to qualify for the second round which starts today.
Kagadi, together with Ombaci and Asili were tying with the same points ahead of yesterday’s encounter and though Ombaci won after beating Bugwere 2-0, Kagadi’s 4-0 put them at a better goal difference. Kagadi will be meeting Kiboga morning.
Action in the ten-day long Coca Cola sponsored event ends this weekend at Mbale Municipal Stadium.
